The Invitation for The Estate Concert

The majestic facade of this home is a representation of the garden exterior of Le Petit Trianon in Versailles, built by Jacques Gabriel for Louis XV1 and Marie Antoinette in 1764.

This privately owned home is a jewel in architecture and is one of my favorite private venues for performance in the world. Throughout its illustrious past, Le Petit Trianon has been a cultural and social center for high society, entertaining such renowned artists as Leonard Bernstein, Isaac Stern, Yehudi Menuin and Igor Stravinsky.

Le Petit Trianon

Le Petit Trianon, The Grand Ballroom
This room came alive for the formal opening of the house in 1904 with an elaborate Marie Antionette costume ball and then again in 1995, with a private concert for social and business leaders with Christian Thomas Lee

Le Petit Trianon is truly a home of magnificent splendor boasting 22 rooms, nine fireplaces and the elegant ballroom you see at left, which is where the concert for 185 distinguished guests was held.

Despite its grandeur, Le Petit Trianon is a home of great warmth and a perfect setting for a parlor concert. One could easily imagine Franz Schubert as a young artist debuting his latest compositions in a home such as this.
