Every year, I receive hundreds of requests from audience members following concerts and lectures asking for further information regarding the various artists and their work that I have spoken about.

In response, I created this section and have highlighted the various sources I use in my public speaking. I have also singled out some of my favorite book, artists, and recordings that are available. Whether you are a serious student of the fine arts, an academic, or simply curious and want to learn more about Bach, Beethoven, Schubert and all the rest, the information provided will prove to be of great help to you.

Enjoy!

Great Artists and Great Recordings

Click the image at right to see a listing of some of my favorite artists and music. Included you will find a source for Claude Debussy's "Sunken Cathedral," which I regard as one of the top five musical compositions in human history. Also included is a source for Christopher Parkening's recording of "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" by Johann Sebastian Bach. Mr. Parkening's recording of Bach's beloved piece is perhaps the most important single recording of classical guitar music ever.

Great Books Worth The Read

Click the image at left to see a listing of some of my favorite books regarding the fine arts. These books are among my all time favorites and a must have for every library. I have carefully chosen these books as they make a for a fascinating, compelling, and educational read for all ages. Spend some time with these books and you will never look at the fine arts the same way again. The top of the list is Dr. Kavanaugh's "Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers." This book is a definite must read!
